Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: My favorite thing about this business is seeing the smile on my customers’ faces when they are successful. I love it when children see that they can do well in something that they thought they could never be successful in. I am a people person and I love meeting new people. I also love working with people of all different demographics.
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: I began my career as a child protection social worker. I worked with young children, adolescents and adults during my 10 years as a social worker. I then decided to obtain master’s degrees in the field of education. I taught for seven years and then became an administrator for three years. With my unique background as a social worker, educator and administrator, I could see that many students benefit from one-on-one instruction. I have the ability to train my staff to service private clients as well as being knowledgeable in working with youth who are in unique situations. I started Success4Life to help children reach this goal.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: I believe that Success4Life is unique in many ways. All of my staff have had background checks completed to ensure your child will be in the best hands possible. All of the staff have earned college degrees with an emphasis on education. Detailed reports are completed for each tutoring session. We also believe in strong collaboration with all parties involved; parents, teachers, etc. Customer service along with customer success is our number one priority.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: I would say the biggest challenge is continued growth while assuring that my tutors are highly qualified. This is extremely important to me and Success4Life so that we can provide the best tutoring services available. Given the fact that we offer tutoring services K-12 along with test prep it is important that appropriate training is provided to our tutors. Extensive and ongoing training is extremely important to me and is provided so that our tutors can help our customers be successful.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: We have helped a lot of adults and youth earn their GED which has helped them improve their lives greatly. We not only work with children in public education, but also go into facilities to work with youth. Although Success4Life is based out of Evergreen, we cover the complete Denver Metro area, Colorado Springs area and the Fort Collins area.
